On Saturday, June 1, the class of 2019 at Perry Hall High School will be graduating at 7pm in the SECU Arena at Towson University. Local dignitaries, as well as administrators, teachers, and staff After four years of hard work and dedication the senior class will be walking across the stage to step into the next chapter if their life, whether work, military, or higher education.
Of the 450 graduating seniors, many have thoughts on their experiences as a high school student.
“Senior year was the fastest year of my life, but it’s the most exciting one, getting to move onto my next step in life,” said Ashlee Wilsynski, senior.
Of the advice seniors want to share with freshman, many emphasize how quickly high school flies by. Most of the graduating seniors say it feels like they just walked in for their first day of school yesterday.
“Being a high school athlete was my favorite part of high school, leading me to many memoires and my best friends” said Phoebe Canoles, senior, who played soccer for four years.
All the teachers and staff at Perry Hall High school have worked hard to get these kids to the point of graduation, especially Mrs. Melanie Updike.
“It is never a dull moment” said Mrs. Updike, school counselor
The graduation ceremony will be attended by thousands on Saturday evening; however, there is also a livestream available on the BCPS website for those unable to attend.
